Almost every time I send an email, I get a weird comment from someone who decided to unsubscribe.



"Your emails have helped me grow my business. But I don't have time for them now."


What? Am I the only one seeing something weird about that?


Okay, that's not too common. But there have been at least 10 of those this year.


Or what about this:


"Great stuff, but too long. You should shorten your emails."


You could've sent me an email telling me that BEFORE you unsubscribed...
 

Here's my question.


Is it that you don't expect to get a reply, so you don't give feedback?


Is it that you don't believe I'd change anything based on your feedback?


Something else?


I reply to emails within 24 hours. Always. Period.


(Unless something really weird is going on, and it takes 48 hours.)


So, if you have an idea of what would make my emails more valuable for you, let me know.


Of if you have a question you'd like to get answered, let me know.


All that being said, I'm not too worried about unsubscribes.


And you shouldn't be either. At least if they're the right kind of unsubscribes.
